Osteoarthritis ankle

Ankle osteoarthritis usually develops after trauma (often a fracture). This is in contrast to what happens in the hip or knee joint, where it mainly arises due to degeneration (wear) of the joint.

Even a small change in the joint alignment can have major consequences for the load on the joint, which can cause significant pain and limit mobility. An ankle brace is highly suitable for effectively supporting the ankle in cases of ankle osteoarthritis.
