Teyder Stretch Splint for the Knee

The Teyder Stretch Splint for the Knee is an extension splint that can be used to splint the knee in a straight position (extension). This ensures that no bending in the knee joint is possible. The product consists of a large panel, which is placed at the bottom/back of the knee. Then there are 2 ‘side panels’ on the side of the product, which can be placed at the desired height. If they are placed a little more to the outside, the panels enclose the leg more. If the panels are fastened a little more inwards, the panels enclose the leg less. Then there are 3 straps above and 3 straps below the knee, to fix the leg well, so that bending is not possible. It is especially important that the band is fastened very well directly below the knee, so that the knee splint is fixed in the right place and remains in place.

Please note: there are preformed ribs in the splint. These come in a case and can be exchanged or bent at your own discretion for an optimal fitting.

How do you measure the Teyder Stretch Splint for the Knee?

This knee splint is available in sizes S and L. This refers to the length of the entire splint. The size S is 50 cm long. The size L is 60 cm long. The size is the same for both sizes (and therefore irrelevant), since the side panels can be adjusted separately from the center panel. You can wear this product on the right or left. Are you in doubt between two sizes? Then we recommend the smaller of the two.

Tips for the Teyder Stretch Splint for the Knee!

• The Teyder Stretch Splint for the Knee has separate side panels compared to the middle panel and can be reattached in the desired place by loosening the Velcro at the back.
• The ribs in this knee splint are preformed, for an optimal anatomical fit around the leg. You can remove these ribs from the pouch and also exchange/turn them around. You can also carefully bend the ribs to adapt to the shape of your leg!
• In particular, tighten the band directly below the knee to ensure good fixation and to prevent the splint from sinking.
